1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, chopped

1/4 cup fresh parsley leaves, chopped

1/2 cup boiling water

1/2 cup witch hazel

2 tablespoons vodka

Place the fresh mint and parsley leaves inside a glass or ceramic container and pour the boiling water over them. Let this mixture cool completely, then remove the leaves by pouring the liquid through a coffee filter or fine strainer. Mix together the parsley and mint water with the witch hazel and vodka. Stir well. Pour the refreshing mixture into a clean bottle with a tight fitting lid.

To use: pour a small amount onto a clean cotton ball or pad and rub over your scalp. You may also massage it lightly into your scalp with your fingertips.

Note: This toner keeps the scalp healthy and clean. It contains fresh mint and parsley, both of which are naturally astringent and refreshing. It gives your head a cooling, tingly sensation that is stimulating after shampooing. You can also use it throughout the day to keep your scalp clean and happy. Fill a small spray bottle with this recipe and spritz the toner onto your hair and scalp for a quick, refreshing pick-me-up.
